Step 1: Go to Claude.ai​

Open claude.ai in your browser and sign in to your account.

  • Requires Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise account (not available on Free plan)
  • Use any modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

Step 2: Open Settings​

  1. Click your profile icon (bottom left corner)
  2. Select "Settings" from the menu
  3. Look for "Connectors" section

Step 3: Add Our Custom Connector​

In the Connectors section, click "Add custom connector" and enter these details:

  • Name: UK Companies
  • URL: https://mcp.companiesintheuk.co.uk

Click "Save" to add the connection.

Step 4: Start Using It!​

That's it! No restart needed. Test it by asking Claude:

Tell me about Tesco PLC

Claude will automatically use the UK company data to provide comprehensive information.

Troubleshooting​

Can't see Custom Connector settings?​

  • Make sure you have the latest version of Claude
  • Custom connector features require Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise account
  • Try again in a few days if not available

Not getting company data?​

  • Check the URL is exactly: https://mcp.companiesintheuk.co.uk
  • For Desktop: ensure you restarted the app
  • Try a simple query like "Tell me about Tesco PLC"
